Minutes of the November 6, 2006

OAK CREEK HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION informal Board Meeting

Called to order at 7:00 p.m., present were the board members: Ned Hurley, Eric Paetzel,  and Tom Hytry.

The following homeowners were also present: Carole Crum, Dave Hanck, Dorothy Jarman, Ellen Larson, Gwen Meyer, Tom & Beverly Novak, Jean Paetzel, Art Woodward and Sandy Worzala.

Grounds:  The front entrenches are done.  We do not have a complete list of the cost as of the meeting but it should be under budget.  There was a discussion on how the new entrances looked with some homeowners thinking they should be more “colorful”.  It was decided to wait until spring to see how they look when the new planting can get a chance to grow before we do anything more with them.

By-Laws: An issue has come up about whether homeowners can put open house signs on the Oak Creek entranceways.  To clarify this the board passed the following resolution:

Since the Covenants for Oak Creek allow for “for sale” signs (Article III, Section14), the board will allow homeowners to put up for no more than two days in a row “open houses” sign on the two entrance ways into Oak Creek from HWY 71.

The “open house” sign shall be a professional sign of not more than five (5) square feed.

Note: the above resolution has the same force and effect as the By-Laws – Last sentence of By-Laws Article V section E “General Powers of the Board”

Social Committee: There will be an Oak Creek Holiday Party on Friday December 1 at 7:30 at the club house.  See the attached invite that is included with these minutes.

Pool:  The well that supplies water to  the pool may have to be drilled deeper. The Pool committee is working the issue.

Long Range Planning: The board and the long range planning committee is working on a plan to make improvements and repairs at Oak Creek over the next six months.  The plan may involve a special assessment.

Please see the attached proposal that is included with this mailing.

The proposal with be discussed at the December meeting and if there is support for it, it will be voted on at the general homeowners meeting in January.

Next Board Meeting: Monday, December 4 at 7:00 p.m.
