Minutes of the November 11, 2019 Oak Creek HOA Board Meeting

Board members present: Ted Ergo, Eric Paetzel, Ellen Larson, Linda Grahovec  and Tom Hytry.

 

The following homeowners were also present: Carole Crum, Doug & Judy Palmer,

Jean Paetzel, Jim & Janice Lee, Kim & John Baer, Beth Johnson and Gene Dunne.

 

The minutes of the September Board meeting were approved. (There was no October Board Meeting)

 

Grounds:  Ted Ergo removed more dead trees/branches from walking path.  Path needs additional clearing and old barbed wire in woods by path needs to be removed.  One large tree needs to be removed – bids are

being solicited.

 

Board approved same vendor as last year to do snow removal – Breyne Lawn Service. Snow removal begins at 2 inches.

 

The Board expressed its gratitude to homeowner volunteers, Jim Lee, George Booras, John Baer, and John and Eric Robinson, who moved 4500 pounds of sandbags on top of the tarp protecting the tennis courts for the winter.

 

Clubhouse: Exit sign outside women’s bathroom will be replaced.

 

Furnace was serviced and cleaned. 75% furnace life exhausted; may need to budget for replacement for 2020.

 

Clubhouse renters express sound (echo) problem with large groups of people in the west room.

Need to investigate sound deadening solutions for next year (will be added to 2020 budget.)

 

Dorothy Jarman resigned as clubhouse chair – looking for volunteers to help with clubhouse committee.

 

Pool: Pool Committee submitted proposed 2020 Pool Information to Board for approval. Suggestions for 2020 were solicited from homeowners in the September Board meeting minutes sent to all homeowners; no suggestions received. 2020 Pool Information approved by Board with one addition; will be posted on Oak Creek website.

 

Finance: 96K in savings, 33K in checking. 

 

One homeowner behind in paying assessments – issue covered by board meeting in executive session at end of the meeting.

 

Lot 7: Lot 7 needs to be officially conveyed to the association. Will be contacting an appropriate lawyer to do it.  (Board tried to do it on our own but ran into a wall.)

 

ARC:  Met with homeowner and await new plans for expanding a garage.

                                                               

Social:  Association Holiday Party – Friday December 6th at 6:00 p.m. – see flyer on reverse side.

Association Annual Meeting/ Pot luck Dinner – Monday January 13, 2020.  Dinner at 6:00 P.M. Meeting at 7:00 P.M.  (bar open after meeting is adjourned)

 

Next Board Meeting –   Next meeting is scheduled for Monday, December 9, 2019 at 7:00 p.m.
