Minutes of the June 10, 2019 Oak Creek HOA Board Meeting

 All board members present: Ted Ergo, Linda Grahovec, Eric Paetzel, Ellen Larson and Tom Hytry.

 

The following homeowners were also present: Nabil Fayoumi, Carole Crum, Sandy Worzala, Lee Ann Olson, David Price, George Booras and Dorothy Jarman. 

 

The minutes of the April Board meeting were approved with the following correction: new pest control contract is 5 times per year @ $705.00 - annually.

 

Grounds:  The monument on Winding Creek entrance was repaired.

Getting bids for power washing both entrances.

 

Trees on walking path (big branch over hanging path) and dead tree at end of Clubhouse parking lot. Need to determine whether these can be handled by resident volunteers or need to pay a tree service.

Benches will be placed on the walking path.   We are ordering 27 yards of mulch. A call for volunteers to help spread on 6/22 at 10:00 a.m. will be sent out.

 

Dead  plants around the outside of the pool will be replaced.

 

Need to get bid to paint door frames and window sills on clubhouse adjacent to pool.

 

Clubhouse: Exterminator came for first spray – service suggested holes and cracks that need filling and mesh screens for the crawl space windows. Got estimate for gutter cleaning - $125. Will have done.

Need to determine whether the HOA's Workers' Comp policy covers the new cleaning service.

 

Pool:  Board is asking homeowners not to give out pool gate code.  Water fountain tested.  No smoking sign will be added to the pool area.  Pool attendant is responsible for keeping the level of sound to an acceptable level.

If you feel that the conduct of another individual at the pool is inappropriate, please address your concerns to the pool attendant. It is their job to handle it. Please do not confront the individual yourself.

                                                                                                                                                                                                               

ARC:  New roofs were approved by the Committee.

Social Committee: Starting to plan a July event.  Looking at the weekends of July 14/15 or 21/22.  If anyone would like to get involved in the planning, please contact any board or committee member.

Welcome Committee: Two new homeowners. Committee will contact two new homeowners this month.

 

Finance:  52K in checking. 75K in reserves

Pending Business: Lot 7: Continue to discuss with Property Concepts what will need to be accomplished to convey this property to the OCHOA

General Announcements: Pickle Ball will be held at the tennis courts on Wednesdays at 8:30 a.m. All are welcome.

May Board Meeting - Next Association Board meeting is scheduled for Monday, July 8, 2019 at 7:00 p.m.
