September 2017 Oak Creek Association Meeting

 

Minutes of the September 11th Homeowners Association Meeting:

 

 Board members present:  Al Hardersen, Ted Ergo, John Robinson and Tom Hytry

 

The following homeowners were also present: Shirley Hardersen, George Booras, Linda Grahovec, Dorothy Jarman, John and Donna Palmer, Sandy Worzala, Jim & Janice Lee, Kim Baer, Ellen Larson, Carole Crum, Terry Mulhall and Nabil Fayouni.

 

Clubhouse: Updated phone service to use Comcast internet calling service.  Internet is up and running at the clubhouse with WiFi access (open network).

 

West Room: Work should be completed by the time these minutes come out.  Note: Sandy Worzala requested that the minutes include the following: vinyl siding was used on a small portion of the outside of the room to save expanses.  Clubhouse predates the subdivision and is not under the covenants.

Pool: Closed on September 18.  First year with no major problems. Special thanks to the pool committee.

 

Grounds: Getting bids for clubhouse snow removal.  We will also be asking how much they will charge individual homeowners’ to do their driveways.

 

Survey: John Robinson conducted a survey for the association.  John had 42 replies.  The top of the list of recommendations was to continue to upgrade the Clubhouse, common areas, walking path, entrances ways.

“Increase the curb appeal of our community for future buyers.”

Social: First Bear game at the clubhouse was a success.  See notices in “Nextdoor” for upcoming Bear games at the clubhouse.

 

Oktoberfest party Thurs 9/28:  We will be having a Oktoberfest party at the clubhouse on Thursday 9/28 starting at 6:30 p.m.  World famous brat along with other German foods will be serviced.  Bring your favorite German beer.  Watch the Bear/Packer game on the clubhouse TV.

 

Also, Tom Hytry’s fall party on October 7. See included flyer.

 

Finance:  17K in Checking, 54K in Reserves. (Note: last year at this time we were down to -0-K in checking.)

We also have a balance of 15K in the funds to redo the West Room.  After we pay the remaining costs for the repairs we will be using the left over funds to update the clubhouse kitchen

 

Next board meeting:  The second Monday in October:  October 9th starting at 7:00 p.m
