January/March 2017 Oak Creek Association Meeting

 

Minutes of the January  9st Homeowners Association Meeting:

2017 Monthly Assessment: The first order of business was the setting of the 2017 monthly assessment.

The board proposed an assessment of $140 a month and presented why the increase is needed.

A general heated discussion followed and after a vote was taken the board proposal was rejected.

An increase to $105 a month was then approved by the meeting.

 

Election of members to the governing board: Four opening on the board were up for election. Three normal openings and one from Fred Krug resigning.  Al Hardersen still has one year to service.  Eric Paetzel and Tom Hytry ran for reelection.  This left two opening which were filled by new homeowners: Ted Ergo and John Robinson.   Departing from the board were Fred Krug and Kim Baer.

For this year: Al remains as President, Eric has treasurer , Tom as Secretary.

 

No February Association Meeting

 

Minutes of the March 6th Homeowners Association Meeting:

 

All Board members present:  Al Hardersen, Eric Paetzel, Ted Ergo, John Robinson and Tom Hytry

 

The following homeowners were also present: Gene Dunne, Ray Mertens, Donna Palmer, Jim & Janice Lee, Kim & John Baer, George Booras, Jim & Colette Cosentino,  Dorothy Jarman, Carole Crum and Jeanne Brommer.

 

2017 Budget: Eric presented the 2017 association budget. Discussion followed and it was approved.

George Booras objected to the $5000 included in the budget for clubhouse furniture saying the money could be better spent on other things. (He requested that his comments be placed in the minutes.)

Surveillance System for Club House/ Pool: Three outside bids were submitted by the team looking into the surveillance system ( Jim Lee, Gene Dunne, Ted Ergo). The bids ranged from $3972 to $6000.  The team then proposed that they could do the work themselves for $1579 which would include a 65” tv monitor. (They would only do the work themselves if it included the monitor.)  The board approved the go ahead from the self installed system.

Next board meeting:  the first Monday in April: April 3rd starting at 6:30.
