West Street front Entrance: Brick entrance sign damaged by car losing control and hitting it. Police report filed with name of driver.   The drivers insurance will cover repairs to the sign and is on-going.

Clubhouse: After years of renting the water softer in the club house it was decide to just buy a unit which should save us money in the long run.

West Room: Construction has started on the West Room.  Work should take about eight weeks. The estimate cost is less than the amount received by the insurance company.  The Kitchen Advisory Group shared a list of recommendations for the Board to consider, if funds are available from the insurance settlement.  The issue of a pass-thru from the kitchen to the west hall was re-opened.  We are looking into the actual cost of this project.

Pool: Going good so far with no major problems.

Grounds: The tree by the clubhouse that was planted in memory of Gene Crum needs to be removed.

It will be replaced by a new tree and we are currently working on a replacement.

The Walking Path will be treated three times this year for weeds.

Security Camera’s: They have been installed around the pool.

Tennis Courts: Cracks in courts – still able to play. We will need to do something next year.  The Board is considering sending a homeowner’s survey to see what improvements we should look at in next year’s budget.

Social:  We missed the pool opening but will have a party for the West Room opening/Bear’s game.

Two homeowners have donated up to $300 for food for a social gathering corresponding to the first Bear’s game on September 10, 2017.

Finance:  11K in Checking, 54K in Reserves, 49K in separate account for the west room reconstruction.

Next board meeting:  The second Monday in August:  August 14th starting at 7:00 p.m.  The Association meetings are moving to the second Monday of the month so that the Board has more time to go over our Avenue 1000 Realty financial report (it comes out on the first of the month).
