The following homeowners were also present: George Booras, Linda Grahovec, Dorothy Jarman, John and Donna Palmer, Sandy Worzala, Ray Mertens, Jim & Janice Lee, Kim Baer, Eileen Dunne and Carol Smith.
West Road Front Entrance: We have an insurance check for the damage to the Oak Creek entrance monument and are in the process of having it repaired.
Clubhouse: We have purchased a water softer for the clubhouse (replaced the rental unit.) It should pay for itself in three years.
Beth Johnson has sent in a water sample to be tested. (This is done once a year)
West Room: Construction has started on the West
Room. Work should take about eight
weeks. The estimate cost is less than the amount received by the insurance
company. The
Kitchen Advisory Group shared a list of recommendations for improving the
kitchen for the Board to consider. It will be funded from the insurance
settlement. The pass-thru from the kitchen to the west hall is included in the
project.
Pool: Going good so far with no major problems. Drinking fountain has been repaired.
Security Camera’s: The security system (cameras) are up and working. The tape will only be reviewed if there is a need to. If you notice any problem later at night around the pool, please contact John Robinson (630) 263-7303.
Survey: John Robinson is conducting a survey for the association. If you have not replied please get back to John with your input before September 4th. The results will be discussed at the September board meeting.
Social: A number of homeowners have donated funds to be used for half-time food during this year’s Bear games. The first game is on September 10th and we will be serving Pizza during the half-time.
The club house will be open a half hour before the start – BYO drinks.
Finance: 10K in Checking, 54K in Reserves, 22K in separate account for the west room reconstruction.
The association has also received a check for 6K from the closing of a house that was in foreclosure but
just sold. (Note: last year at this time we were down to -0-K in checking.)
Next board meeting: The second Monday in September: September 11th starting at 7:00 p.m
