MINUTES OF THE September 19 HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION MEETING

All board members present: Al Harderson, Kim Baer, Fred Krug, Eric Paetzel and Tom Hytry.

The following homeowners were also present: Jim & Janice Lee, Gene Dunne, John Baer, Jeanne Brommer, Dorothy Jarman, Carole Crum and Sandy Worzala.

Drinking / After hours partying at the pool: Early this year we had a problem with kids drinking and partying at the pool after hours. The board sent a letter out and this seemed to stop the problem. Unfortunately, it’s back. This time we will be contacting the Kendall County Sheriff’s department to help monitor the situation. We believe they will set up temporary cameras. Any underage drinking that they find will be out of the association hands as far as the determination to prosecute the individuals.

Club House: Air conditioner for the main area (Fireplace room) has been replaced.

Fireplace Room: The work has been completed and it looks very nice. We will be using the Holiday party to introduce it to the neighborhood.

West Hall: Board is continuing to look into options. (Will report next month on any progress/decisions.)

Finance: We have ~54K in savings and ~1,500 in checking which will cover day to day operations but just.

With the pool closing we should start getting more funds for the day to day operations.

Budget: Al has asked all the committee Head’s to start to prepare their 2017 budget. A committee will be looking over the overall costs of the association. Currently the assessments just cover the day-to-day running of the association and we are not adding to our reserves which we have been taping into for major emergency expenses.

An assessment increase may be asked for at the January annual homeowners meeting.

Architectural: The committee will be updating the roofing issues as new roofing material have come on the market since the last time they looking into it.

Oak Creek Garage Sale: October 7th and 8th. Please contact Carole Crum (630 553-1000) for more information.

Please Note: If you are participating in the Garage Sale, please be kind to your neighbors and avoid blocking off your property along the street forcing cars to park in your neighbors driveway or on their lawns.

Social: Tom Hytry’s Fall Party Saturday Oct 8th: See Enclosed Flyer.

The fireplace room renovation and Holiday party will be on the first Friday in December, Dec 2nd. More details later.
