July 2016 Oak Creek Association Meeting

MINUTES OF THE June 4 HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION MEETING

All board members present: Al Harderson, Kim Baer, Fred Krug, Eric Paetzel and Tom Hytry.

The following homeowners were also present: Jim & Janice Lee, Beth Johnson, Gene Dunne, John & Donna Palmer, Ray Mertens, John Baer, Dave Hanck and Sandy Worzala.

Club House: To keep the insurance rate the same, we will be raising the deductible from 1K to 2.5K.

(Rate change due to the number of claim on the club house over the last few years.)

Fireplace Room: Work is continuing on the Fireplace Room. The new flooring is in and the room is painted. All work will be to current codes.

AC is not working in room. Will wait until room is done to see what is required to either fix or replace.

Social: There will be a fireplace room redoing/pool opening party when the above work is done.

West Hall: Insurance has rejected our claim. Board is continuing to look into options. (Will report next month on any progress/decisions.)

Finance: We have ~54K in savings and ~15K in checking for day to day operations. Being summer this will be running down due to pool expenses.

Grounds: Dying Ash tree by west entrance to clubhouse removed by association members saving about $800.

Path will be done for weeds.

Pool: Letter send to homeowners seems to have stopped problems at the pool.

Light in pool needs to be replaced.

Nextdoor: Currently 60 homeowners have signed with our “Nextdoor” service. If you have not done so please sign up.

If you are getting unwanted message from outside of Oak Creek, go to the “Nearby Neighborhoods” and remove all neighborhoods that you don’t want messages from.
