August 2016 Oak Creek Association Meeting

MINUTES OF THE August 1 HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION MEETING

All board members present: Al Harderson, Kim Baer, Fred Krug, Eric Paetzel and Tom Hytry.

The following homeowners were also present: Beth Johnson, John & Donna Palmer, Carole Crum and Sandy Worzala.

Club House: Air conditioner for the main area (Fireplace room) is being replaced. The current unit was original with the club house. Cost will be about ~$3K. With all the work on the new fireplace room a working air conditioner is needed.

Fireplace Room: Work is continuing on the Fireplace Room. The new flooring is in and the room is painted.

New counter tops are being installed to match new paint color.

Social: There will be a fireplace room redoing party when the above work is done.

It taking longer than expected, the party may not be until later this year.

West Hall: Insurance has rejected our claim. Board is continuing to look into options. (Will report next month on any progress/decisions.)

Finance: We have ~54K in savings and ~15K in checking for day to day operations. With new air conditioner we will be tapping into the savings for current funding.

Grounds: Path was be done for weeds. Next year 3 weed application with be scheduled ($300 per).

Entrance lights replaced.

Pool: Light in pool replaced. Bottom cleaned.

Oak Creek Garage Sale: October 7 and 8. Please contact Carole Crum (630 553-1000) for more information.

Nextdoor: Currently 63 homeowners have signed with our “Nextdoor” service. If you have not done so please sign up.

If you are getting unwanted message from outside of Oak Creek, go to the “Nearby Neighborhoods” and remove all neighborhoods that you don’t want messages from.
