Minutes of the September 14, 2015 meeting of the board of the Oak Creek Homeowners Association

Board members present: Al Harderson, Eric Paetzel, Mike & Rebecca Bender and Tom Hytry.

The following homeowners were also present: Jeanne Brommer, Carole Crum, Jan Cherry, Dr. John & Donna Palmer, Gene Dunne, Dorothy Jarman, Ray Mertins, Dave Hanck, Sandy Worzala.

General: The board plans to invite the new Sheriff to give a talk on safety at a future meeting. More details later.

Association Email list: We are trying to form an association mailing list for association related news (such as pool closing, board meeting etc). If you email address is not already lisedt in the association directory, please send it to Tom Hytry at tom@hytry.net.

Finance: Eric will be getting this year costs (up to September) to all of the committee head so that we can start on next year’s budget process early. All committees were asked to use a zero based budgeting approach to see if we can reduce costs to avoid having to ask to raise the monthly assessment at the general meeting in January.

Pool. Leak in pool to be fixed after closing ($1,300).

The board wishes to thank Dave Hanck for his work on the pool committee for the last few years. He is stepping down from the committee at the end of this year.

The association will need someone to step up and replace him.

Clubhouse: Discussion next meeting on use of clubhouse: Exercise group is down to two members. Need to enlarge the group by offering it to the whole association to justify cost of heating and cooling for it.

Architectural Committee: The committee acknowledges Houston & Dorita Godfrey for using association approved roofing materials for their new roof.

The committee has proposed new rules for Satellite dishes, fences and gardens.

Social: Tom Hytry fall Party Oct 10: See enclosed flyer.

Oak Creek Garage Sale: Friday October 2 and Saturday October 3.

An add will be placed in the paper. Just put balloons on your mail boxes.

Next Board meeting will be at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, October 5.
