August 2014 OAK CREEK HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION Minutes

Minutes of the August 4, 2014 meeting of the board of the Oak Creek Homeowners Association.

Board member present: Gene Dunne, Fred Krug, Mike Bender and Tom Hytry.

The following homeowner was also present: Carole Crum, Jeanne Brommer, Brad & Dorothy Jarman, John Wyeth, Sandy Worzala, Dave Hanck.

Morgan Creek Drainage District: John Wyeth gave a overview of what he had learned about the proposal to “Reactivate” the Morgan Creek Drainage District. The main point is that to reactivate it there needs to be shown a need for it. The second point is that if it is reactivated is will become another taxing body (taxed thru a new item on our property tax bill).

The board voted to have John represent us with the court system on this issue.

The first hearing was on August 18 – see Aug 18 letter on minutes web page.

A follow up report on the hearing and discussion on what action the board should take will take place at the September Board meeting.

Grounds: One tennis court light is out – looking into how we fixed light last time.

5 dead Ash trees on clubhouse grounds. Will have someone “drop” them, cut them into 6 foot lengths and shred the small branches. Board members (and anyone else) will cut up for firewood and offer free fire-wood to the community. We plan to do it this fall when the weather is cooler.

We will be mulching around the pool/clubhouse. 

61 Oak Creek Drive: Work on siding is going on.

Next Board meeting will be at 7:00 p.m. on Monday September 8.
