Minutes of the May 13, 2013

OAK CREEK HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION Board Meeting

 

Called to order at 7:00 p.m., all board members present: Dorothy Jarman, Tom Novak, Fred Krug, Gene Dunne and Tom Hytry.

 

The following homeowner was also present: Carole Crum, Jim Lee, Lisa Doran, Sandy Worzala, Dave Hanck and Jean Brommer.

 

61 Winding Creek: The board is contacting Ave 1000 to help in speeding up the cleanup of 61 Winding Creek which had the fire early this spring.

 

Finance: 111K in assess. This is before we redo the parking lot and replace shrubs (see below)

 

Tennis Courts: Jim Lee talked to MC Sports (they put in the new courts) and they recommend that we wait one more year before we refinish the top.  They will seal the cracks this fall.  (We have a fixed price of $5400 from them to refinish the tops).

 

Front Clubhouse parking lot: We have gotten bids for redoing front parking lot and sealing the back parking lots. We will be doing it this spring, cost ~21K.

 

Grounds:  The paths will be sprayed for weeds and the association trees with be trimed.

 

18 shrubs and7 other bushes will be replace and the 4 timbers in the playground with be replaced.  Cost is $1800.

 

Pool: The pool is scheduled to open Saturday, May 25.  You need to print-out and complete the pool information form prior to your first visit to the pool. The form is on the pool page on the web site.

 

Parking of Vehicles in Drive ways:  From the Covenants (Article III, Section 1)

 

Commercial vehicles shall not be habitually parked in the subdivision.  "Commercial vehicles" shall include all forms of transportation which bear signs or have printed on the same reference to any commercial undertaking or enterprise.  In addition, no trailers, mobile homes, or recreational vehicles of any kind shall be habitually parked in said subdivision unless within a garage located thereon.  Habitually parked for purposes of these restrictions shall be defined as parked in said subdivision, not within a garage located thereon, for a period in excess of three (3) consecutive days.

 

Social: The social committee decided that last year’s club nights by the pool were a success. Therefore, we are continuing these nights on the first Thursdays of each month the pool is open. The first one will be Thursday, June 6 starting at 7:00 p.m. The Association will provide: ice, blender, plastic cups, salsa and chips.  Bring your own drink ingredients.

 

Note:  This is intended to be a social night to meet your neighbors and you can bring whatever you like to drink.
