OAK CREEK HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION Board Meeting

Called to order at 7:00 p.m., all board members present: Dorothy Jarman, Fred Krug, Tom Novak, Gene Dunne and Tom Hytry.

The following homeowners were also present: Beth Johnson, Dave Hanck. Al & Shirley Hardersen, Sandy Worzala, Tom & Beverly Novak and Jeanne Brommer.

From the Chair: Lions and Tigers and flying Trampolines, oh my! The storm that took place on the evening of June 29th, was one of the worst I can remember in the twenty-three years Brad and I have lived in Oak Creek.

As Gene Dunne and I walked the neighborhood that evening, we were saddened to hear that a large number of home owners sustained damage to beautiful trees and homes. As board members, we are all very sorry for your loss. We are relieved to hear that no one was injured and that is what is most important.

Club House: One of the 3 cupolas on the club house was destroyed in the storm.  No other major damage to the clubhouse. Cleaned up trees around clubhouse and path.

Cost ~2k.

Looking into insurance for cupolas and will decide on what to do at next meeting.

Pool: Had an issue about chlorine level in water. It was resolved with the inspector the same day.  Looking into getting new test equipment so it doesn’t happen again.

Installing  extension to fence by pump to make it harder to climb over.

Reminder: The pool is adult only (over 18) before noon and after 8.  At all other times children under the age of 12, must be accompanied by a guardian, 15 years of age or older. The name of that person must be included on the family's resident log sheet.

Finance:  Currently we have $93,000 in assets. With the opening of the pool this amount is decreasing.

Social: The social committee decided that last year’s Margarita nights by the pool were a success. Therefore, we are extending these nights to include the second Thursdays of each month the pool is open. The next one will be Thursday, August 16 starting at 7:00 p.m. The Association will provide: ice, blender, plastic cups, salsa and chips.  Bring your own drink ingredients.

Note:  This is intended to be a social night to meet your neighbors and you can bring whatever you like to drink.

Just a Reminder Notice: The Oak Creek Garage Sale is scheduled for October 5th and 6th.

Next Board meeting will be at 7:00 on Monday, August  6.
