Route 71 Expansion: Jeff Johnson, our association observer at the I-DOT meetings, repeated his report on the recommendations from the engineering task force on the expansion of Route 71:

-          Four lanes with a raised median and a separate bike path on the southern side of the road way.

-           Speed limit of 45 mph.

-          Land will need to be taken including the area where our entrances are to make room from the expansion

-          The next public I-DOT meeting on Route 71 will either be in February or March.

It was suggested, that if there are concerns from homeowners affected by the expansion,  the board should write a letter to I_DOT with these concerns.  This is on the agenda for the next meeting. If you have concerns please come to the next meeting with ideas on how to address these concerns.

We can form a subcommittee to put together a letter to be send from the board.

(The letter will be written by the subcommittee.)
