OAK CREEK HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION Board Meeting

Called to order at 7:01 p.m., all board members present: Dorothy Jarman, Dave Hanck, Gene Dunn, Fred Krug and Tom Hytry.

The following homeowners were also present:  Carole Crum, Eileen Dunn, Tom Novak, Donna Palmer, Sandy Worzala.

Finance: Fred presented the 2011 budget which was 8% higher than last years. (Note: most years we do not spend everything that is budgeted. Last year we spent $5,000 less than what we budgeted.)

Currently we have $72,000 in assets.

Clubhouse: Blinds will be installed on the south facing windows to lower AC costs.

From the clubhouse committee: If you have quests that park overnight in the clubhouse parking lot please have them place a note in their car indicating homeowner’s address.

Grounds: Will be replacing the logs around the playground and fixing cracks in the tennis courts.

Retention Pond: The issues of the retention pond came up at the meeting in terms of removing some of the tree and/or bushes around it.  The board will be taking a walk around the pond before the next meeting (at 6:30 that night) and then continue the discussion on what if anything to do about the pond.

Route 71 News:  A light will be installed this summer at Van Emmon Rd and Hyw 71.

The Kendall County Forest Preserve unanimous voted to support a trail adjoining Route 71 between Yorkville and Orchard Road. See article on back of minutes.

Yard Sale: A date for the Spring yard sale has been set – Friday/Saturday May 13/14.  For more details contact Dorothy Jarman. Currently we have four people that are interested and if we don’t get more it may not happen.

Social: Margarita Night at the pool first Thursday of each month starting June 2.

Also the Dunn’s have moved into their house at 38 Winding Creek. Welcome.

Next Board meeting will be at 7:00 on Monday, May 2.
