Minutes of the October 4, 2010

OAK CREEK HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION Board Meeting

Called to order at 7:01 p.m., board members present: Dorothy Jarman, Jim Lee, Dave Hanck, Fred Krug and Tom Hytry.

The following homeowners were also present: Jeff Johnson, Sandy Worala Tom and Beverly Novak.

New Board Member: Fred Krug was appointed to the board and will be our new treasurer.

Fred, thanks for volunteering.

Club House: Should be painted by the time you get these minutes. Ceiling Fans inside main room of clubhouse are being installed – cost ~$550

Grounds: Walking path was redone. Four new replacement lights for the Winding Creek entrance have been orders – cost ~$400.

Route 71 Widening: Jeff Johnson attended a DOT meeting on August 31 on the Rte 71 widening. The current plan includes a 4 lane “urban cross section,” plus a 22’ raised median and concrete curb and gutter. It also includes a bike path that would require the taking of a strip of land from homeowners that live next to the current highway. The web site is www.dot.il.gov/ilroute71/index.html. The work on our section of the highway probably would not start until 2015.

It should be noted that the only approved funding for the work is for the section of 71 between

Hwy 47 and Hwy 126. If they were to add a bike path the upkeep for it would have to come from the local government bodies which have not looked into the cost.

The next DOT meeting regarding the project will take place in May of 2011.  We will have more information after the project enters the engineering phase sometime late next year.

Social: Looking at having a pot luck get together at the end of November or Start of December at the club house. More detail to follow.
