Minutes of the August 2, 2010

OAK CREEK HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION Board Meeting

Called to order at 7:05 p.m., board members present: Dorothy Jarman, Jim Lee, Dave Hanck and Tom Hytry.

The following homeowners were also present: Carol Crum, Dave Harms, Fred & Connie Krug, Bonnie Vicini, Jeff & Beth Johnson, John & Donna Palmer.

Club House: Still getting estimates on painting the club house and fixing the window frames.

The club house will be painted an off-white color and the shutters dark green.

Social Memberships: A proposal was presented to allow pool memberships. In the discussion that followed it was clear that both the board and the homeowner present were not in favor of having

pool memberships and the item was dropped.

Route 71 Widening: Jeff Johnson attended a DOT meeting on July 29 on the Rte 71 widening.

He presented a drawing of what they are currently planning to do. The drawings are on display at the government center in Yorkville. The plan includes a 4 lane “urban cross section,” plus a 22’ raised median and concrete curb and gutter. It also includes a bike path that would require the taking of a strip of land from homeowners that live next to the current highway. The web site is www.dot.il.gov/ilroute71/index.html. The work on our section of the highway probably would not start until 2015.

Social: The Margarita night by the pool Thursday, August 6, was a success. We had a turn out 50% larger than the last one. We have one more to go before the pool closes – first Thursday in September – September 2. See Flyer in this mailing. The Association will provide: ice, blender, plastic cups, salsa and chips. Bring your own drink ingredients.

Next Meeting: The next meeting will be the second Monday in September (September 13) at 7:00 p.m.
