OAK CREEK
HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION Board Meeting
Called to order at 7:03 p.m., the following board members were present: Jim Lee, Ned Hurley, Adam Sarauskas and Tom Hytry.
The following homeowners
were also present: Carole Crum, Sandy Worzala and Donna Palmer.
Assessment & Finance: Adam presented the year-to-date Oak Creek budget for 2009.
Our beginning year’s assets were ~$41,000 and we currently have ~$37,000 in assets.
One of the reasons for the drop was paving the back club house driveway for $12,600.
Due to the bad weather this summer the pool came in under budget by ~$7000.
(The pool is closed when the temperature is less than 70 degree or it is raining, saving money by not having to pay pool personal.) The Y-T-D report is on the web on the association’s minutes page.
The board will be looking into the need of raising the monthly assessment at the next meeting.
While the current board can not raise it they can recommend to the new board in January that they do it. We have not had an increase in the monthly assessment since 2003 and if it wasn’t for the pool coming in under budget by $7000 we would have been in finical trouble this year.
To keep all of the improvements that we have done the last three year in good repair we need to look at an increase to the assessment. We also need to pave the front club house driveway in 2010.
Social: The social committee is looking at having a pot-luck Friday night get-together at the club house on one of the first weekends in December. More information next month
Oak Creek Directory: We have a new Oak Creek directory of homeowners. If you wish a copy please e_mail Tom Hytry at tom@hytry.net to get one sent to your e_mail address. Please indicate in your e_mail if you want any additional information included with your address (i.e. cell phone number, e_mail address, etc.). Also check your information to see that it is correct. I plan to keep the directory current.
(The information for the directory is from Ave 1000 and they don’t have everyone’s phone number.)
Board Election: Looking toward the future, there will be three openings on the board this January and the three board members that currently hold the positions will be leaving. All three have been on the board for at least four years. If you are concerned about our neighborhood please think about joining the board.
Next Meeting: The next meeting is November 2 at 7:00 p.m.
