Minutes of the January 12, 2009 Annual meeting of Oak Creek Homeowners Association and minutes of the January 12, 2009 Board Meeting.

 

Minutes of the Annual meeting:

 

Election of two members to the governing board: Two openings on the board were up for election.  The current members: Jim Lee and Tom Hytry volunteered to run again.  Since there were no other candidates they were reelected unanimously. 

 

The board officers remain the same with:

 

            Ned Hurley – President

            Adam Sarauskas – Treasury

            Tom Hytry – Secretary

 

 

Ned Hurley, speaking for the board thanked the following committee members for their work these two years:

 

            Entranceways: Doug & Judy Palmer, Amy Eccher

            Pool: Dave Hanck

            Landscaping around pool: Beth Johnson

            Pool cement expansion and walkways: Doug Palmer

            Grounds: Tom Novak

            Clubhouse: Carol Crum, Sandy Worzala

            Long Range Planning: Doug & Judy Palmer

 

Ned also went over all of the improvements made over the past two years:

 

            Entrance ways (Lighting, Landscaping. Lettering)

Clubhouse (Outside lighting, Well, Electrical Service, Windows, Walkways,

             Insulation and a new Stove)

            Pool (Expanded Deck, Fencing Replaced, Landscaping Changed, Pump

 Replaced)

            Tennis Courts (Resurfaced, Fencing added & replaced)

 

Still needed:

            Resurface back parking lot

            Improve Playground Area & Equipment

 

Finance:  The association ended the year with $41,705. This was about $13,000 less than last year because of the above improvements.   A more detailed financial report is on the “minutes” web page at orkcreekhomeowners.org.

 

Monthly assessments remain at $75 per month.  If we have a good year this will allow the reserve to increase by $3000 to $4000 dollars.  No special assessment is planned for this year.

 

Police Blotter:

 

Home Burglary: On December 12 there was a home broken into in the subdivision.

Please be aware of strange cars in the subdivision and take down license numbers.

 

Firearm Discharge: The police were called to a home in the subdivision after the owner discharged a rifle on his lot.  The board wants to remind homeowners that it is not only illegal to discharge a firearm in a residential area but very dangerous.

 

Pot Luck Party:  The association is having a pot luck party for the subdivision on Friday February 20 at 6:00 p.m. at the clubhouse.  Please come over and meet your neighbors.

Plates, silverware, cups will be provided.  Bring something to eat and drink.

 

Next Board meeting will be at 7:00 on Monday February 9. Please note that this is the second Monday of the month and not the first.
